Course Description

In this 6-hour audio and video course, you will learn about the healing properties of such common foods as fish oil, coconut oil, curcumin, cocoa, and green tea, among others. Dr. Lara reviews the current scientific literature in support of the medicinal properties of these and other foods. Michael Lara

Michael Lara, M.D. is a board-certified physician who practices near San Francisco, CA. He specializes in the treatment of mood and memory disorders through the use of strategies that combine diet and exercise with traditional pharmacologic approaches.Dr. Lara received his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his postgraduate residency training in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. In addition, Dr. Lara holds a B.A. degree from Stanford and an M.A. degree from Harvard. Aside from his medical practice, Dr. Lara presents at national conferences to peers and to general audiences on how exercise, nutrition, and supplementation can improve mood, memory, and overall wellbeing.
